PS/NT, Dr. Chris Kiptoo Holds a meeting with a delegation from the MCC
Treasury Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo today held a meeting with the delegation from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and discussed on operationalization of the Kenya Millennium Development Fund (KMDF) regulations, for implementation of the Threshold Partnership Program.
The PS noted that the KMDF regulations have been agreed on, and that the government will provide the necessary support needed for actualization of the of the grant financing agreement.
The MCC team was led by Deputy CEO Chidi Blyden who said that the financing agreement will unlock additional funding for investment in Kenya and urged for concerted efforts to propel the Threshold program into action.
MCC forms partnership with developing countries by providing grants for investment for promotion, economic growth, reducing poverty and strengthening of institutional capacities.
