PS Meeting with Belgium Ambassador
Treasury PS Dr. Chris Kiptoo today held a meeting with Belgium Ambassador to Kenya H.E Peter Maddens, to discuss on opportunities and areas of potential mutual partnership.
Speaking during the meeting held at Treasury Headquarters, PS Dr. Kiptoo said the government will continue to collaborate with partners, to unlock funding opportunities to support key priority projects in line with Sustinable Development Goals.
The PS said Kenya enjoys cordial relations with the government of Belgium which supports key projects in the areas of energy, water, sanitation and health among others.
PS Kiptoo reiterated the Government’s commitment in ensuring timely conclusion of pipelined projects, and added that the government is keen to enhance development cooperation with the government of Belgium in Green Sustainable and Inclusive Growth and other programmes in environmental sustainability.
On his part, Ambassador Madden said the government of Belgium will continue to partner with the Kenyan government in areas of mutual development cooperation.
Present during the meeting were technical officers from the Ministry of Finance and the Belgian Embassy.
