The National Treasury and Economic Planning CS Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u and Korea Ambassador to Kenya HE Sung-jun Yeo today signed a Ksh 980.5million grant aid agreement, aimed at improving and strengthening of Maternal and Newborn Healthcare in Kajiado county.
Speaking in Nairobi,during the signing ceremony, CS Prof. Ndung’u said the project financing is as a result of the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two governments.
The CS said the project is expected to have greater impact, and improve the effectiveness of the health care system in Kitengela Sub-county hospital-Kajiado County.
According to the agreement, the grant will see construction of maternal shelters, initiate community programs, provide medical equipment and capacity building for health workers.
Present during the signing was Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and other technical officers.
