Principal Secretary for National Treasury, Dr Kamau Thugge delivers the keynote address today, May 10, 2018 when opening the first Development Effectiveness Group (DEG) Retreat meeting at Lake Nakuru Lodge. The theme of the meeting is “Implementing Development Effectiveness Commitments in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. During the meeting the DEG Strategic Plan 2018 – 20122 (which incorporates Framework on domestication of Nairobi Outcome Document of Second High Level Meeting of Global Partnership for effective Development Cooperation) was launched. Among other objectives of the meeting is to review Kenya’s performance in the 2016 Second Monitoring Round of the GPEDC and agree on commitments for implementation.

One of them states: “Implement the effective department cooperation strategic plan through annual workplan, budget and priority actions”.
