Cabinet Secretary, National Treasury, Heny Rotich exchanges signed credit agreement for upgrading Kibwezi – Mutomo – Kitui highway, phase I with Mr. Liu Peng of China Exim Bank, while the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Lie Xianfa looks on today, November 29, 2016 at the National Treasury Building in Nairobi. The first phase of the project will cost Sh. 23 billion and will involve Tarmacking of total 192 km but after completion of phase 3 the total will be 472 km at a cost of Sh 50 billion. China confirmed support to Kenya’s development agenda today stands at an accumulated Sh. 539 billion, making China Kenya’s largest bilateral development partner.
