Mr. Henry K. Rotich, EGH is currently the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury & Planning in Kenya. He assumed the position in May 2013 following the successful general election under the new Constitutional dispensation.  In this portfolio, Mr. Rotich is charged with managing Kenya’s national government finances, including spearheading an efficient and sustainable public financial management under a new devolved system of governance, which is fundamental for promoting equitable socio-economic development and efficient delivery of services to Kenyans. psDr. Kamau Thugge, CBS is currently the Principal Secretary at the National Treasury. He has previously worked in the Ministry of Finance as head of Fiscal and Monetary Affairs Department, Economic Secretary and as Senior Economic Advisor.
Before joining the Ministry of Finance, he worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as Economist, Senior Economist and Deputy Division Chief.
Dr. Thugge has played a major role in influencing the design of Kenya’s current fiscal decentralization system and has coordinated the formulation of legislation for implementing devolution, including the Public Finance Management Act, 2012; The Commission on Revenue Allocation Act, 2011;Full PS Profile.


Mr Mutua Kilaka, CBS, SS is a career civil servant since 1977, having worked in most regions in the country in the provincial administration and in the central government.  In 2005 he  was appointed Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and is currently the Prinicipal Administrative Secretary.

drmwauDr. Geoffrey N. Mwau, EBS graduated from McGill University in Canada with a Ph.D in economics in 1994.
He worked as a Senior Advisor to the Executive Director representing Kenya and 21 other African countries at the Executive Board of World Bank.
Prior to joining the World Bank, he was a Senior Regional Advisor on Economic Policy Analysis with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Previously, Dr. Mwau also worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as an economist for Rwanda, Malawi, Botswana, and Uganda.

Mr. Bernard Ndun'gu joined National Treasury in 2013 as the Accountant General, rising to the current position of Director General Accounting Services & Quality Assurance. Prior to joining the National Treasury, Bernard was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Read More.....

Mr. Jackson Njau Kinyanjui was born on 1st January 1955 in Nakuru County. He is a holder of Bachelor of Education in Economics and Business Education from University of Nairobi (1981). He holds a Masters Degree in Development Economics from Williams College in USA Massachusetts. He has attended other short courses in Holland, Soviet Union and United Kingdom in respect to the housing policy and planning, port planning and management and urban traffic and transport policy and planning in developing countries among others. Mr. Kinyanjui is married with three (3) grown up children and is a devoted Christian.
